On June 12, 2019, Officer Dunn was involved in a critical incident while on duty. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated as he has a long road ahead of him. Officer Dunn enlisted in the Marine Corps in order to serve his country. Enlisting in 1996, Officer Dunn spent 10 years on active duty serving all over the world. Officer Dunn has been in the Marine Corps Reserves for 13 years and is the Communications Chief for 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division. Officer Dunn served on Embassy Duty as a Marine Security Guard in Hong Kong, China, and Munich, Germany for over 3 years. Officer Dunn also had the great honor to serve directly for President George W. Bush flying on the Presidential Helicopter, Marine One, as a Communications Systems Operator aboard the helicopter for the President of the United States and dignitaries. Officer Dunn’s awards include the Joint Commendation Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medals, Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medals, Sea Service Deployments and Joint Meritorious Unit Awards, among many others. Officer Dunn currently holds the rank of Master Sergeant in the Marine Corps.

Officer Dunn started out as a Police Officer in the City of Farmers Branch in 2006. He has contributed not only to the Farmers Branch Police Department but is dedicated to the community that he serves. Officer Dunn has served on the Police Department Honor Guard, Bicycle Patrol, as a Police Training Officer, and a proud member of the North Texas Regional SWAT Team as a Team Leader. Officer Dunn holds a Master Peace Officer License with the State of Texas and has been rewarded with the Farmers Branch Rookie of the Year Award, Officer of the Year, several Chief’s Awards for valor and bravery in extremely dangerous situations while on duty, and the State of Texas Mother’s Against Drunk Driving Award for strict enforcement on Intoxicated Driver’s.
